The main questions I ask about this scene are:

1) Where are the supplies, like water and ammunition for the humans, being carried?

2) If these people get attacked, they're likely to be attacked by something very large. A design like this wouldn't really be reasonable if the carriage itself would be intended to fight things that were short, like mere men. The men at the top probably shoot at them. The carriage is likely to remain erect when it fights things worthy of engagement, since if it bends over, it throws the men out of the top. Maybe you can show some sort of weapon that the carriage itself would use? Something it might carry, or claws on its hands?

I would imagine that they would have a reservoir or storage bay in the central body somewhere, or maybe have something in the fists, like water. That way the weight of the water would compliment the momentum of any potential strikes should it have to defend itself.
One possible defense mechanism I could see it having for smaller attackers is weaponizing the sand it walks in or what usually gets caught in the joints. It could collect it and either blast it out at high speed, peppering the attackers with the small particles, or it could melt the sand then cool it into glass, where it could then mold then shoot it out as shards.

alot more functions that i normally would've expected it to have, usually its better to give a design functions that you can clearly see it to be able to do, your suggestion with the sand thing would work well ^^

I think the best part is the silhouette of the design. I mean, the details are amazing, but I think you nailed it with the overall shape. I also like the small touches like the cloth and runes, which both managed to make a robot feel more archaic than sci-fi.

I can't think of any criticism other than the ones by probabilitydiver, which I also thought of but he got to first.

Perhaps it could be re-designed to walk on all 4's, like a gigantic ape. That way, it would hang lower for infantry engagement, though for other, larger things... good luck.
